ABOUT LGBTEACHER

Link Peterson (he/him) has 10+ years experience teaching in K-12 classrooms. During his time as an educator, he became increasingly aware of the often invisible struggles his LGBTQIA+ students experienced. Although he worked tirelessly to minimize these struggles, his reach beyond the four walls of his own classroom was limited.

Despite supportive colleagues and administration, widespread reform proved impossible from his position as a teacher. Something more formal was needed, thus LGBTeacher was born!

Link now incorporates his background in education and psychology, as well as his own experiences as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community to promote the development of brave spaces for youth. He hopes that one day soon, his services will no longer be needed, but until that day comes, he is happy and honored to lead schools down the right path.
